Mountain Bluebirds Fledge

On Thursday, May 25, 2023, I noticed when feeding mealworms to the Mountain Bluebird parents in the afternoon that they were not returning to the nest box to feed their babies. I grabbed my camera and hurried to sit outside with them and see where they were flying to. After about an hour, it was clear that they were at the “frantic” stage of parenting! Both parents were calling to each other and their babies to feed and keep everyone safe. I was only able to spot one fledgling, but felt really grateful to get a few shots of this exciting day!
