Great Horned Owl Family

A few weeks ago my husband John and I were golfing at Brasada Ranch and were happy to find a Great Horned Owl family nesting in the top of a juniper tree just off the 8th hole green! The nest had previously been occupied by a Common Raven or American Crow family, so I thought I would check it out as we drove under it. I was excited to see a Great Horned Owl sitting in the nest staring down at us and thrilled beyond belief to find three little ones still in the nest. About a week and a half later the final Owlet had left the nest. Look for them flying around Brasada Ranch!
